Cedar Rapids, IA - George H. Spelius, President of the Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs, has announced its 2013 Post Season All-Star Roster. The team was selected by the Field Managers of the sixteen Midwest League member clubs.
The Kernels have three players on the team: outfielders Byron Buxton and Adam Brett Walker and infielder Dalton Hicks. Buxton was also named the MWL Most Valuable Player and Prospect of the Year. South Bend manager Mark Haley was named the MWL Manager of the Year.
The Kernels tied with Bowling Green with three members on the squad. A full listing of the team is below:

Second Base - Devon Travis (West Michigan)
Third Base - Brandon Drury (South Bend)
Shortstop - Carlos Correa (Quad Cities)
Outfield - Byron Buxton (Cedar Rapids)

Catcher - Luke Maile (Bowling Green)
Designated Hitter - Rock Shoulders (Kane County)

RH Reliever - RJ Hively (South Bend)
LH Reliver - Geoff Brown (Great Lakes)
The Kernels host Kane County tonight at 6:35 pm in the final regular season home game of the 2013 season. They wrap up the 2013 MWL season with three games at Clinton, before beginning the first round of the 2013 MWL Playoffs against Quad Cities in a best-of-three series.
