St. John's IceCaps News Release
ST. JOHN'S, NL - Christian Thomas potted the game-winner in overtime as the St. John's IceCaps defeated the Toronto Marlies 3-2 at an electric Mile One Centre Friday night.
Thomas took a pass off the boards from goaltender Zach Fucale and raced down the left side before beating Marlies netminder Garret Sparks with a laser, sending the home side away with two points. Fucale was spectacular in goal, stopping 36-of-38 shots in a first-star performance.
