Heat Announce Roster Moves

San Antonio, TX. - The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL's Calgary Flames, announce that defenseman Ryan Culkin has been assigned to the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL and also announce that goalie Eric Hartzell has been released from his pro tryout contract.

Culkin, 21, is set to return from an injury he suffered during the preseason and will begin his 2015-16 campaign in the ECHL. The fifth round draft pick of the Flames in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft began his pro career last season with the Adirondack Flames, playing in 37 games and recording a goal and 17 assists.

The Thunder find themselves on the road to play the Atlanta Gladiators today and the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Saturday.

The Stockton Heat play the San Antonio Rampage at the AT&T Center tonight at 5:30 p.m. PST before traveling east to Cedar Park, Texas to take on the Texas Stars at 5:00 p.m. PST tomorrow.

The team returns to Stockton Arena to host the San Diego Gulls for the first time on Wednesday, November 18. The first 1,000 fans at Stockton Arena will receive a Markus Granlund oversized trading card.
