Late Shorthanded Goal Helps Heat Earn Point
November 13, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Stockton Heat News Release
San Antonio, Tx. - The Heat were paced by forward Markus Granlund, who netted a pair of goals, and Garnet Hathaway, who scored a shorthanded goal late in the third to force overtime, but the San Antonio Rampage ended up defeating the Heat in the shootout by a final score of 5-4 Friday night at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Granlund's 2 goals were good for his second multi-point game of the year, while Hathaway's shorthanded marker was his first point of the season. However, San Antonio just outlasted the Heat to take the shootout 3-2 and end up taking the extra point away from the Heat. The Stockton Heat will be back in action Saturday night, as they take on the Texas Stars in Cedar Park, Texas in the final game of this short road trip to the Lone Star State.
