Texas Signs Matt Mangene to AHL Contract

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced today they have signed defenseman Matt Mangene off his tryout agreement and to an AHL contract for the remainder of the season.
Mangene (MAN-jeen), 25, signed a tryout agreement and joined the Stars on Dec. 20, 2014. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Manorville, N. Y. tallied assists in his first two games for the Stars and has appeared in 15 games this season, recording seven assists overall.
Texas visits the San Antonio Rampage tonight at 7 p.m.
