Flames Assign Baertschi and Granlund to Adirondack

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned forwards Sven Baertschi and Markus Granlund to the Adirondack Flames of the American Hockey League.

Baertschi, a native of Langenthal, Switzerland has played in 15 games with Calgary this season where he has four assists and six penalty minutes. The 22-year-old has also played in 28 games for Adirondack and recorded five goals and 12 assists for 17 points.

DRAFTED: 1st round, 13th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft

Granlund, a Finnish-born centre, has played 33 games for Calgary this season recording five goals and eight assists. Granlund has also played 10 games for Adirondack this season netting four goals and four assists.

HEIGHT: 6'0" WEIGHT: 180 lbs.
