Purple Game and Scarf Giveaway in Store for Set against Rampage

Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 vs. San Antonio Rampage

Presented by Van Andel Institute

Time : 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena (doors open at 6 p.m.).

Purple Community Game : Nearly everything at Van Andel Arena will be in sync with the color associated with cancer survivors, as the Griffins host their fourth annual "Purple Community Game" to benefit the Van Andel Institute. Fans can enjoy many purple elements, ranging from purple concession items to purple-themed songs and graphics during the game. They can also become a member of "Purple Community," a group dedicated to connecting individuals who are passionate about fighting cancer and other diseases.

Purple Jersey Auction : The Griffins will wear special purple accented jerseys during the game that will be autographed and auctioned off to the public after the game, with proceeds benefiting VAI.

Purple Packs : Fans who would like to attend the game and support fundraising for cancer research can purchase a "Purple Pack" for $23, which includes two or more lower level CENTER ICE tickets and the opportunity to be part of the Griffins High Five Tunnel during the starting lineup introductions! A portion of the funds from every "Purple Pack" sold will be donated to Van Andel Institute. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com/purple .

$2 Beers, $2 Hot Dogs and Purple Concessions : Fans can enjoy $2 hot dogs and $2 domestic drafts from 6-8 p.m., while supplies last. Purple beer will be available at select locations, including the D-ZONE, along with purple cotton candy, slushies, donuts and other assorted desserts.

Free Ride Friday on the Rapid : Ride the Rapid to and from any Friday game and enjoy complimentary fare by showing your ticket to the game. Visit ridetherapid.org for schedule information, routes and maps.

College Night : College students can show their ID to purchase an upper bowl ticket for $14 (or $13 in advance at The Zone) and stop by the McFadden's concourse table to receive a free pass to the post-game party at McFadden's.

Friday Night Popcorn Pack : Fans can enjoy all of the popcorn they can eat with this special offer that includes four or more upper or lower level tickets and a Griffins popcorn bucket good for unlimited popcorn refills throughout the game! Griffins Winter Scarf Giveaway : The first 2,500 fans will receive a Griffins winter scarf, courtesy of Centennial Securities.

Post-Game Open Skate : Bring your skates to the rink and take to the ice for the post-game open skate. Other post-game open skate dates include March 22 and April 18.

Advance ticket prices are $16, $18, $19 and $21 in the arena's upper level, and $20, $24, $29 and $35 in the lower level. (Additional $3 per ticket on day of game.) On game night, tickets may be purchased without a convenience charge at the Van Andel Arena box office, beginning 90 minutes before game time. Fans who attend multiple games can avoid charges and receive a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 10- or 20-game ticket plan.
