Taillon to be Recalled to Majors

RHP Jameson Taillon (#50) is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis today and is scheduled to start tonight against the Mets at Citi Field. The 24-year-old Taillon (pronounced "TIE-own") made his Major League debut against the Mets in Pittsburgh last Wednesday (June 8) and gave up three runs in 6.0ip while receiving a no-decision.

The Pirates also intend to place RHP Gerrit Cole on the 15-day disabled list with a right triceps muscle strain, retroactive to June 11. He left his start against St. Louis on Friday, June 10, after facing one batter in the third inning.
