T.J. White promoted to Fort Myers

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that INF T.J. White has been promoted to the Fort Myers Miracle of the Florida State League. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move.

White was a member of the Kernels 2015 Opening Day roster and played in 74 games for the Kernels this season, batting .230 (61-265) with 10 doubles, five triples and 26 RBI. He was selected by the Twins in the 18th round of the 2014 First Year Player Draft out of UNLV.

The Twins did not announce a corresponding move. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at 24 active players, one below the Midwest League maximum of 25, with 10 players currently on the DL.

The Kernels are in the midst of a six game road trip and play tonight at Kane County with first pitch set for 6:30 PM. They return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, July 15th and host the Burlington Bees at 6:35 PM.
