Syracuse Crunch to Hold Vance Lederman Night March 25
March 12, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Syracuse Crunch News Release
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch are holding Vance Lederman Night to honor the team's senior vice president of business operations and chief financial officer for his 22 years of service to the team on Friday, March 25 when the Crunch host the Albany Devils at 7 p.m.
You've seen him all over the War Memorial Arena and can't mistake the Brooklyn, New York native. From the drama of his missing fat head to his dance moves at Crunch At Your Service, he helps lead the organization and ensures Crunch fans are entertained. Now, it's time to salute the one and only Vance Lederman.
In honor of Lederman, the first 1,500 fans at the War Memorial Arena will receive a Lederman mask. The team will also recognize Lederman during a pregame ceremony. In addition, any fan 5-foot-4 and shorter will receive a ticket discount for March 25.
Lederman has been an integral part of the Crunch family since the team came to Syracuse in 1994. His hard work and dedication were recently recognized as he was selected as the winner of the James C. Hendy Memorial Award, given to the outstanding executive in the American Hockey League for the 2014-15 season. Overseeing all financial operations of the organization, including sponsorships and season tickets, along with managing team travel accommodations is a tall order (something he is not), but Lederman handles it with finesse and a soft charm. Whether he's sending you invoices or calling for payments, he helps keep the Crunch running.
A graduate of Brooklyn (N.Y.) College, Lederman held various positions before joining the Crunch full-time. He previously served as treasurer for AST, Inc., one of Europe's leading steel manufacturers, and as the credit director at Canon USA, where he spent 12 years. He is a former member of the advisory board for Elmcrest Children's Center and currently serves on the American Hockey League's Sales and Marketing, Playoff, Finance and All-Star Committees. He is also a board member for Aurora of Central New York.
To purchase tickets for Vance Lederman Night, call the Crunch at 315-473-4444 or visit the Crunch office inside the War Memorial Arena at 800 S. State St. in Syracuse.
Syracuse Crunch single game and season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located in the War Memorial at 800 South State Street in Syracuse or by calling the office at 315-473-4444.
