Nastasiuk Reassigned to Grand Rapids by Detroit

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday reassigned forward Zach Nastasiuk to the Grand Rapids Griffins from the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

Nastasiuk, 20, has appeared in 25 games for the Walleye, registering 20 points (10-10-20), a plus-10 rating and 10 penalty minutes. He notched a four-game point streak from Feb. 6-17 and has five multi-point outings.

In 15 games with the Griffins this season, Nastasiuk has recorded four assists, two PIM and a plus-two rating.

Detroit's second choice (48th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Nastasiuk has played in a total of 26 regular season games for the Griffins since 2013-14, also tacking on one assist in 11 games between the 2014 and 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs.

Before turning professional, the Barrie, Ontario, native played in 256 games for Owen Sound (OHL) from 2011-15 and amassed 187 points (89-98-187).

Victorious in nine straight games, the Griffins will host the Manitoba Moose tonight at 7 p.m.
