Perfect Penalty Kill Leads Heat in Hard Fought Win

Stockton Heat News Release

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat defeated the Texas Stars 2-1 Friday night at Stockton Arena thanks to goals from Mitchell Heard and Mason Raymond, as well as the play of Kevin Poulin between the pipes. Both Heard and Raymond's goals came on gritty plays crashing the net, but perhaps the biggest key tonight was the play away from the opposing net, as the Heat penalty kill was perfect tonight and Kevin Poulin stopped 35 of the 36 shots he faced in a winning effort. The Stockton Heat and the Texas Stars will be back at it again Saturday night at Stockton Arena, as the two teams finish their season-series with one another.
