STILL IN FRONT: With an important win last night, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre have sole possession of first place in the International League. The team has a game advantage over Buffalo and have the highest run differential (+37) in the league. The RailRiders are also the only team in the IL to have reached 18 wins.

NARVY'S UP NEXT - The Yankees called up Carlos Narvaez for the first time in his career to replace Alex Verdugo who went on the paternity list. He played in 23 games for the RailRiders as a catcher and as a first baseman. The righty is batting .211 with four doubles and two homers. He drove in twelve. Narvaez was added to the Yankees 40-man roster in November of last year.

PITCHING ON TOP- The RailRiders pitching staff has the lowest earned run average in all of Triple-A baseball with a 3.64. They have also allowed the least amount of runs with 111 this summer. They are also lead in saves with ten total.

WILLING IT- Yankees #7 prospect Will Warren pitched three consecutive quality starts. In his last outing, Warren went six innings allowing just two runs. He did not allow any walks, but hit two batters. The righty struck out seven on 90 pitches.

T.J. TIME: T.J. Rumfield smacked his first home run of the season last night, giving the RailRiders the late lead. With SWB, the rookie is hitting .292 in a dozen contests. Rumfield has 14 hits, including five doubles. He has batted in eleven runs. Last season, he hit 17 homers. Rumfield was traded along with LHP Joel Valdez from the Phillies for RHP Nick Nelson and C Donny Sands in 2021.

CLAYTON'S CRUSHING: Clayton Beeter has lowered his ERA to 3.63 in four starts this season. He has been electric on the road going 2-0 with a 1.80 earned run average. In both of his starts away from PNC Field, Beeter has gone five innings with no walks and eight strikeouts apiece.

BICKFORD'S BEST: Phil Bickford recorded the one inning save last night for his first of the season. He preserved a one run ballgame with a pair of strikeouts and a flyout. Manager Shelley Duncan said it was his best outing of the season. Bickford lowered his ERA to a 3.60 in his ten innings of work. The righty has just three walks to 12 strikeouts in his nine appearances.

VANMETER ON HIGH: In the last two weeks, Josh VanMeter has found his groove at the plate. In his past ten contests, he is hitting .360 with nine hits and nine runs batted in. VanMeter has also walked nine times to his seven strikeouts. The lefty hit his second home run of the summer yesterday. VanMeter was signed as a free agent on January 16.
