Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today an invasion of buccaneers at Prince George's Stadium as the Baysox prepare for Swashbuckling Sunday at the stadium Sunday, May 22, as the team takes on the scoundrels of the Erie SeaWolves at 2:05 p.m. Any fan who attends the game dressed as a buccaneer, corsair or other gentleman o' fortune is invited to join a special pregame Pirate Parade on the field.
Baysox Director of Marketing Brandan Kaiser has grown used to the pirate invasion. "It was really odd when the first swashbucklers rolled in and hoisted the Jolly Roger," Kaiser said. "But after a while, you get used to getting called lily-livered landlubbers. They keep telling me I'll have to walk the plank if I do not tell them where the hidden treasure is, but I think they are just a bunch of kind-hearted scallywags looking for fun and affordable family entertainment."
Members of Louie's Kids Club can purchase discounted tickets for the event, enjoy a special pirate makeover station and receive a wristband for free rides and games in Louie's Kids Park throughout the game. Club members and their families may purchase lower reserved seat tickets for $10 (regularly $14), or upper reserved youth seat tickets for $6 (regularly $9) and upper reserved adult seats for $8 (regularly $11).
