Craig Heyer Placed on Disabled List

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that RHP Craig Heyer has been placed on the disabled list. The move will leave the Thunder roster one player under the maximum of 24 active players.

Heyer, a right-hander from Scottsdale, Arizona, was originally scheduled to start in the series opener against the Binghamton Mets Thursday night at 7:05 PM. Heyer has made seven appearances (five starts), combining to go 3-2 with a 3.03 ERA (2-2, 3.46 ERA as a starter).

The Thunder will open a four-game series with the Binghamton Mets Thursday night at 7:05 PM from Waterfront Park. RHP Cory Arbiso, making the spot start in place of Heyer, will face the Mets' LHP Mark Cohoon. All of the action can be heard on 91. 3 WTSR or online at trentonthunder.com.
