TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Harrisburg Senators will meet in the opener of a four-game series...The Bowie Baysox withstood two Flying Squirrels' rallies to hold on to a 6-5, series-clinching win in the finale of a three-game set on Wednesday afternoon in front of 5,949 fans at Prince George's Stadium.

CAPITAL CITIES: The Flying Squirrels and Harrisburg Senators will meet for the first time this season during their current four-game series...The two clubs will play each other 21 times during the year including 15 meetings at The Diamond...Harrisburg won seven of the 10 meetings between the two clubs in 2010 including all three played in Richmond.

TREADING WATER: The Flying Squirrels will try to avoid matching their low-water mark on the season at four games under .500...The club was last four games under .500 at 11-15 after dropping the opener of a doubleheader 5/5 at New Britain.

ONE IS THE LONLIEST NUMBER: The Flying Squirrels suffered their second straight one-run loss yesterday at Bowie...It was the third consecutive one-run game the club has played...Overall, Richmond is 3-7 in one-run games as 10 of the team's first 33 games have been decided by a single run...The Baysox lead the Eastern League having played in 14 one-run games.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME: The Flying Squirrels fell to 4-12 on the road with yesterday's loss at Bowie...The club's .250 winning percentage on the road is second-lowest in the Eastern League ahead of only the Portland Sea Dogs (.200, 3-12)...Richmond is batting .196 (107-for-545) on the road and is averaging 3.00 runs per game (48R/16G) in 16 contests...The Flying Squirrels are batting .245 (140-for-571) in 17 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.18 runs per game at home (71R/17G)...The club is 11-6 at home and its .647 winning percentage is second-highest in the league trailing only the Trenton Thunder (.706, 12-5).

THE GEORGIA PEACH: Second baseman Charlie Culberson has hits in each of his last seven games, matching his longest hit streak of the season...The 22-year-old is 10-for-31 (.323) with two RBIs and four runs scored over his last eight games...He has struck out just eight times in 43 at-bats (19%) this month after striking out 22 times in 93 at-bats (24%) in April...Culberson leads the Eastern League with 136 at-bats and is tied for fourth in hits (39), having appeared in all 33 games for Richmond this season.

BOOK 'EM DAN-O: Right-hander Dan Otero has tossed 12 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings over his last seven appearances, the longest scoreless streak of the season for a Flying Squirrels pitcher...The 26-year-old has struck out 14 batters and walked none while holding opponents to a .196 (9-for-46) average against over the course of the streak.

PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 2.95 ERA through 33 games and the club ranks third in the league with 269 strikeouts. The pitching staff has logged a league-high 304 2/3 innings of work, 14 1/3 more innings than the Trenton Thunder who ranks second in innings pitched.
