Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators and Mississippi Sea Wolves have announced the schedule for the 2003 Southwest Division Finals. * - if necessary

(Game 2 tickets on sale now at Cajundome box office or by calling Ticketmaster at 337-262-8686).

The IceGators and Sea Wolves have met once in the post-season in 2000, with Louisiana winning the Southern Conference Quarterfinals three games to one. Louisiana won both home games in the series and split in Biloxi.

This season, the IceGators went 8-3-1 versus the Sea Wolves, with a 4-2-0 home mark and a 4-1-1 mark at Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The first tiebreaker in the ECHL is overall wins, so despite its losing record against the IceGators, Mississippi earned the top overall seed in the division and home ice in this series.

The teams have met just three times since Christmas, and Louisiana made its last trip to Biloxi on December 20, when the IceGators emerged with a 6-2 victory. Since then, the Sea Wolves are 18-0-2 at home, including a current 14-game winning streak.

Mississippi features ECHL Defenseman of the Year Jim Baxter, and another first team All-ECHL pick in winger Steffon Walby.
