Svendsen Heads to Rockford

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, two-time defending North Division Champions, reigning Eastern Conference Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils and American Hockey League's Albany Devils, announce forward Brandson Svendsen has been loaned to the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.

Svendsen, who is currently on a four-game point streak and a three-game goal streak has posted a team-high 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) in 28 games this season for the K-Wings. By heading to Rockford, Svendsen becomes the 12th member of the K-Wings to be either reassigned or loaned to an AHL club.

Kalamazoo will start the week by concluding a four-game home stand this Wednesday, January 11th with a 7 p.m. face-off versus the South Carolina Stingrays during "Cocktails at the Cube". Prior to the game, the K-Wings will host a business mixer in The Cube Viewing Area from 5-7 p.m.

After a road test on Friday, January 13th at the U.S. Bank Arena against the Cincinnati Cyclones, the Kalamazoo will return to Vanrick Drive on Saturday, January 14th, to welcome the Toledo Walleye for a 7:30 p.m. encounter during the 4th Annual McDonald's Golden Ice Game, presented by McDonald's and 98.5 FM WNWN.

While the K-Wings already wear McDonald's themed warm-up jerseys during the entire season, the team will also don a special McDonald's themed jersey for the night. Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off with a portion of the proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan.

Single-game tickets for the upcoming 2011-2012 season are on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, please call Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.

Tickets for all K-Wings home games are $12.90 and $16.90 for adults, $11.90 for seniors (62 years and older) and military (with proper ID) and only $6.90 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single game tickets in advance because tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $1.
