CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors dropped a pair of one-goal games to the Stockton Thunder last weekend - including Saturday's shootout loss - and now prepare to host the Colorado Eagles this weekend. The Condors own a record of 8-24-3-1 with 20 points on the season.

The Thunder scored the first and only goal of the game just 1:42 into the contest, and G Olivier Roy made it stand up, in a 1-0 shutout win over the Condors. G Matt Keetley made 23 saves in a losing effort for Bakersfield.
Saturday, Jan. 7
Stockton 3 vs. CONDORS 2 (SO)

After falling behind 1-0 in the first period, the Condors took the lead. F Tyler Helfrich tied it up in the second period, and RW Hans Benson gave the Condors a lead with less than seven minutes left in regulation. The lead was short-lived, however, as the Thunder responded with a power play goal just three minutes later to force overtime. Stockton prevailed in the shootout for a 3-2 win.
PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
F Alex Hudson made his pro debut on Friday and notched his first professional point with an assist on Saturday.D Josh Van Dyk (pictured) made his Condors debut on Saturday after being acquired via trade a day earlier.The Condors were the last club in the ECHL to go to a shootout, finally reaching the extra session on Saturday.The Condors still lead the league with nine shorthanded goals. Saturday's game was the 14th loss by just a goal this season. 21 of the team's 28 non-wins have been by two or less goals.F Ian McKenzie returned to the lineup for the first time since Dec. 11 on Friday. He picked up an assist on Saturday.G Matt Keetley has appeared in seven straight games in net.

The Condors host the Colorado Eagles this weekend, on Friday and Saturday night.
