Super Mario Leads Sens to 3-1 Win

The Harrisburg Senators beat Richmond 3-1 Saturday night at FNB Field. The win was the Sens third straight over Richmond and they'll look for a four-game sweep tomorrow. Mario Sanchez went the first six innings allowing just two hits. The Sens took a 2-0 lead in the second then tacked on a run in the fifth. The Flying Squirrels scored their lone run in the seventh.

Harrisburg (50-41, 8-13); Richmond (32-57, 9-13)

On Capitol Hill

- Mario Sanchez tossed six strong innings and allowed just two hits while striking out seven. He threw 86 pitches, 56 strikes.

- Brady Dragmire, Brad Boxberger and Aaron Barrett all tossed one inning with Barrett earning his 17th save on the season.

With the Gavel

- Nick Banks had two hits and drove in a run and is now 6-for-11 with the Senators.

- Dante Bichette, Jr. had two hits, including a triple, drove in a run and scored a run.

- Luis Garcia continued his surge over the past several weeks with two hits, one a double, and scored a run

Filibusters

RHP Brad Boxberger became the 50th player to appear in a game for the Senators. Drew Ward returned as he was activated from the injured list. He'd been out since mid-May. The Sens had at least three hits for the third straight game.

On Deck

The Senators play the Richmond Flying Squirrels at FNB Field Sunday at 1 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 12:50 p.m.
