Suns and Mudcats Postponed Due to Rain

ZEBULON, N.C. - Wednesday night's game between the Jacksonville Suns and Carolina Mudcats has been postponed due to rain at Five County Stadium.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 26 when the Suns will begin their next series against the Mudcats at Five County Stadium. The two seven-inning games will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The Suns and Mudcats will play in the final game of the series as scheduled on Thursday afternoon at Five County Stadium. Left-handed pitcher Jose Alvarez (0-0, 1.50 ERA) will pitch for the Suns against Carolina's right-hander Pedro Villareal (3-1, 4.45 ERA). Thursday's first pitch is set for 12:00 p.m., and fans can listen to the game beginning at 11:50 a.m. with the U.F. & Shands Pregame Show on www.jaxsuns.com.
