MONTGOMERY, AL - Matt Moore carried a no-hitter into the seventh, and would combine with Ryan Reid and Matt Bush to two-hit the Tennessee Smokies (8-6) as the Biscuits took a series advantage with a 3-1 win Wednesday night at Riverwalk.

A Rebel Ridling homer broke up the no-hitter with two outs in the seventh against Moore (7-3), who struck out ten over seven full to get his fourth-straight win. Ryan Reid worked a perfect eighth before Matt Bush (4) squashed a two-out threat in the ninth for the save. The Smokies' second hit was an infield single for Junior Lake with two gone in the ninth.

Biscuits pitching has now limited the Southern League's top offense to four runs total in three games in the series, coming off of four solo-homers.

The Biscuits got all of their scoring done in the first two innings, with Stephen Vogt getting an RBI in each of the first two frames and Kyeong Kang cranking a homer to finish the team's scoring in the second. All three runs came against Dallas Beeler (1-4), who struck out four over seven innings in the defeat.

Kang led the charge for the Biscuits, collecting three hits on the night. Vogt and Tim Beckham both chipped in two hits.

RHP Chris Archer will toss for the Biscuits Thursday at 7:05 in the series finale.
