ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Dean Anna's single in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Lehigh Valley IronPigs a 7-6 victory over the Gwinnett Stripers in the rubber match of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Park.

The loss dropped Gwinnett to 2-10 in extra-innings this season.

The Stripers had a chance to score in the top of the 10th as they loaded the bases with one out against reliever Zac Curtis, but Curtis struck out both Lane Adams and Phil Gosselin to end the threat.

The winning bottom of the frame came off reliever Jason Hursh (L, 2-5). Pinch-runner Tom Eshelman was bunted to third base by Roman Quinn to start the inning. Anna then hit a ball to the mound, which ricocheted off the glove of Hursh and into right field, allowing Eshelman to score the winning run.

It was the second game in the series in which the Stripers took an early lead, only to see the Iron Pigs mount a comeback.

After two scoreless innings, Alex Jackson cracked a three-run homer to left off of Lehigh Valley starter Cole Irvin for a 3-0 lead. It was Jackson's first long ball at the Triple-A level.

Gwinnett's lead went to 4-0 in the top of the third after Danny Santana doubled to center and moved to third on a fielding error by Quinn. Santana then scored on a throwing error by third baseman Mitch Walding.

However, the Iron Pigs closed the gap to by scoring a pair in the bottom of the third and another run in the bottom of the fourth, all off Gwinnett right-hander Matt Wisler.

Gwinnett extended the lead to 5-3 in the top of the fifth as a two-out single to right by Dustin Peterson scored Luis Marte from third. The Stripers opened it back to a three-run lead in the sixth when Adams led off with a triple to center and scored on a Gosselin single.

That three run lead was erased in the seventh as Andres Santiago gave up a booming three-run blast to Dylan Cozens (16) to center, which tied the game at 6-6.

Lehigh Valley had a chance to win it in the bottom of the ninth, loading the bases with one out against Chad Sobotka. But Sobotka struck out Logan Moore and Zach Green, sending the game to extras.

Wisler pitched 5.0 innings with eight hits, three earned runs and one walk allowed with six strikeouts. Santiago went 1.1 innings with three hits, three earned runs and one walk. Chad Bell worked 1.1 scoreless innings with one walk and two strikeouts.

Irvin tossed 6.0 innings with eight hits, six runs (five earned), one walk and five strikeouts. It was the most runs Irvin has given up this season. Yacksel Rios, Hector Neris, Pedro Beato and Zac Curtis (W, 3-2) each worked 1.0 clean innings apiece.

Gosselin led the Stripers with a 3-for-5 night including a run and an RBI. Marte was 0-for-4 with a walk, ending his 10-game hitting streak.

Cozens went 3-for-4 with a run, a double, a homer and 4 RBIs for Lehigh Valley. Anna was 3-for-5 with a run and two RBIs.

The Stripers (48-55) continue the six-game road trip Friday at 7:05 p.m. with the first of a three-game series against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The Stripers will start righty Wes Parsons (6-2, 2.88). The RailRiders have right-hander Eric Swanson (1-1, 4.54) scheduled. Tony Schiavone has the play-by-play call on 97.7 and 93.5 FM "The Other Side of the River" beginning at 6:35 p.m.
