
Straub Released From Professional Try-Out Agreement

Moline, IL- The Quad City Flames announced today that defenseman Brandon Straub has been released from a Professional Try-Out Agreement (PTO). Straub appeared in a single game during his most recent stint with the Flames. On the season, the defenseman has played in four Quad City games and has been held scoreless.
Straub returns to Las Vegas to continue his second professional season. He appeared in five Wranglers games early this season and did not record a point during his stint in the ECHL. Straub appeared in nine AHL games in 2007-08 with the Lake Erie Monsters. He also played 55 ECHL games last season with the Johnstown Chiefs. During his time with the Chiefs, the Colorado Springs, Colorado native recorded 12 points on three goals and nine assists.
The Budweiser Flames Forum returns to Bleacher Bums (3811 North Harrison Street in Davenport) on Monday at 6:00 p.m. Scott Allen, Brett Palin, Kris Chucko and John Armstrong will join host Aaron Roof. Fans in attendance will be eligible to win prizes from the Flames and Budweiser. The show can also be heard on 93.9 FM WYEC.
The Flames are back on home ice on Wednesday night for a 7:05 p.m. face-off with Iowa. Lower bowl tickets are $10.00 and upper bowl tickets are $5.00 courtesy of Galaxy One Marketing and McDonald's.
