Moose sign Boutin to PTO

The Manitoba Moose announced today they have signed goaltender Jonathan Boutin to a professional tryout contract.

Boutin, 23, has appeared in 10 games so far this season with the ECHL's Victoria Salmon Kings and has compiled a record of 6-3-1 with a goals against average of 2.51 and a save percentage of .914 with a pair of shutouts. In 97 career games in the AHL in four seasons with Springfield and Norfolk, the Granby, PQ native is 30-47-6 with a goals against average of 3.25 and a save percentage of .899. In 31 career ECHL games with Johnstown and Victoria, Boutin is 14-14-3 with a goals against average of 2.81 and a save percentage of .918.

Boutin was originally drafted by Tampa Bay with their third round choice, 96th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
