Storm's Dufresne Heads To The AHL

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that Defenseman Sylvain Dufresne has been recalled to Rochester of the American Hockey League.

Dufresne has appeared in fourteen contests for the Toledo Storm this year, collecting four assists and playing at a plus three. Two of those assists for Sylvain have come on the power play. Sylvain was part of the Americans' training camp this fall, and was very highly regarded. This will be the second stint at the AHL for Dufresne. During the 2002-03 season, Sylvain appeared in seven contests for the Hamilton Bulldogs. He had two assists during that stay. While with Flint of the United Hockey League for the last two seasons, Sylvain racked up 106 points in 150 games. Dufresne started his pro career in the ECHL with the Baton Rouge Kingfish in 1999.

The Rochester Americans are on the road starting tonight in Houston. The Americans will remain on the road with games in San Antonio and Utah, before returning home Friday, December 10th against Milwaukee.

The Toledo Storm are home this Friday and Saturday night. Friday night Toledo welcomes in the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies, and on Saturday the Peoria Rivermen will be in town. Toledo Hockey...A History Of Champions!
