Lynx Deal Marchant To Texas

December 2, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release

The Augusta Lynx sent winger Terry Marchant to the Texas Wildcatters Tuesday in exchange for center Brian Passmore.

Passmore, 24, was originally a 7th round draft pick of the Minnesota Wild in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. After spending four years in the Ontario Hockey League, the Mississauga, Ontario native headed to the University of Prince Edward Island for two years. Following his stint there, the 5-11, 185 lb. center turned pro last year, amassing 17 goals and 38 points with four different ECHL teams. This year he had two goals and four points in 15 games with the Wildcatters.

"Brian is a guy who has talent offensively," said Lynx Head Coach and Director of Player Operations Stan Drulia. "I've heard some good things about him, and hope he can help distribute our scoring more evenly."

Marchant had struggled this year with the Lynx, putting up only one goal and three points in 15 games thus far. The Buffalo, NY native heads to Texas having played in 43 games with Augusta, notching 15 goals and 33 points while with the Lynx.

The Lynx next play on Friday against the Inferno in Columbia at 7:30 pm, followed by a return home Saturday night against Louisiana at 7:35 pm. Tickets are available for all remaining Lynx home games through the team office at 712 Telfair St. by calling (706) 724-4423, at all TicketMaster locations, or on line at www.TicketMaster.com.
