St. Pierre runner-up for rookie award

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have announced that MARTIN ST. PIERRE has been named as the runner-up for the ECHL "CCM VECTOR Rookie of the Month" for November. The winner of the award is Derek Edwardson of Atlantic City. St. Pierre totaled 15 points (4G, 11A) in 12 games in November.

On the season, St. Pierre (5-9, 180lbs., center, Emburn, ONT) has 17 points (4G, 13A) in 14 games, which ties him for ninth in the ECHL in scoring and tied for fourth in the ECHL with 13 assists. Martin is an Edmonton Road Runner (AHL) contracted player, and was selected at ECHL player of the week for the first week of the month of November.

In other news, IGOR RADULOV (6-0, 195lbs., forward) has been assigned to the Grrrowl from the Norfolk Admirals (AHL) Radulov has appeared in 16 contests with the Admirals in 2004-05 and has no points. Drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 74th overall selection in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Radulov split time between the ‘Hawks and Admirals last year. In 38 games with the Admirals in 2003-04 he tallied 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists). That same year, he had four goals and seven assists (11 points) for the Blackhawks. Radulov will be in the lineup (#39) when Greenville travels to Gwinnett to play the Gladiators on Friday evening.

The Grrrowl are on the road for two games this weekend in Gwinnett (12/3) and against the Stingrays in Charleston (12/4), and return to the BI-LO Center to face the Augusta Lynx on Sunday (12/5) at 3:05pm.
