Stockton Kings Defeat Santa Cruz Warriors, 117-112

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Kings (22-15), the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, beat the Santa Cruz Warriors (27-11) the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors in a thrilling win with a final score of 117-112.

Santa Cruz shot 66.7 % from three-point range in the first quarter, scoring half of their points from beyond the arc. Four Stockton players scored in double figures, including Stockton two-way forward Troy Williams who scored 16 of his 20 points in the first half to give them a two-point lead, 58-56 over Santa Cruz.

Stockton saw the biggest lead of the game at the near the eight-minute mark in the fourth quarter, where they led 100-84. Santa Cruz went on a 16-2 run to try to catch up, cutting the lead down to one point with one-minute remaining in regulation, but it was not enough.

Santa Cruz was led by Morris who scored a team-high 20 points off the bench. Santa Cruz two-way guard Damion Lee posted 19 points.

Stockton Kings guard Cody Demps posted a game-high 26 points, seven assists and four rebounds for Stockton. Center Daniel Ochefu contributed 19 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Recently assigned forward from the Sacramento Kings Caleb Swanigan posted 18 points, 18 rebounds and five assists in his Stockton debut.

The Stockton Kings will continue their home stretch on Friday, February 22 as they host the Oaklahoma City Blue at 7 p.m. Fans can enjoy the Family Feast Night menu which offers $1 soda, $1 beer, $2 hot dogs and $4 unlimited popcorn. Friday night's game is 90's Hip-Hop Night which will feature local live artists and a post-game concert by SYNS. This game can be viewed via Facebook Live.

Saturday the Kings will host the Northern Arizona Suns Saturday, February 23 for Video Game Night at the Stockton Arena at 7 p.m. 100 local teens will be allowed into the arena early for a chance to play NBA 2K with professional NBA 2K players from the Kings Guard Gaming professional esports team. Stockton will wear special video game themed jerseys. Fans will have a chance to bid on the jersey's during the game, all proceeds will benefit the Teen Impact Center and Lord's Gym City Center.
