The Week That Was...

The South Carolina Stingrays played two home games last weekend as they continue to hold on to second place in the South Division.

Friday night saw the Stingrays North Division foe, the Trenton Devils, come to town. Looking to avenge the 9-7 loss, the Rays tried to overcome the Devils #1 ranked power play, but could not stop them as Trenton won 2-1.

Saturday night's game was extremely important with a four-point swing up for grabs as the Rays faced Charlotte. In a battle of goaltenders, the teams remained scoreless over 65 minutes forcing a shootout. Newest Stingrays Nikita Kashirsky, Travis Morin and Spencer Carbery scored for the Rays during the shootout finalizing the 1-0 victory, and two points for the Rays! Congratulations to Jonathan Boutin, earning his first shut-out with the Stingrays this season.
