Johnstown's Griffith Suspended Five Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Johnstown forward Todd Griffith for five games and fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions at the conclusion of ECHL Game #684 at Wheeling on Mar. 7.

Griffith was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting and a Game Misconduct after the game had ended.

He is suspended and fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Griffith missed Johnstown's game against Elmira (Mar. 8) and will miss Johnstown's games vs. Cincinnati (Mar. 13), vs. Wheeling (Mar. 14), at Wheeling (Mar. 15) and at Elmira (Mar. 20).
