Stingrays Sign de Kastrozza

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach Cail MacLean announced today that the team has signed forward David de Kastrozza. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

de Kastrozza, 23, joins the Stingrays after completing his senior season at the University of Maine. The Toms River, NJ native appeared in 85 games for the Black Bears scoring nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points. Prior to attending Maine, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward skated for Culver Academy under coach Al Clark. During the 2004-2005 season, de Kastrozza was named the team's most valuable player and led the academy with 30 goals and 14 assists. He will we jersey number 26 with Stingrays.

The Stingrays return to action on Friday, March 26 against the Reading Royals at 7:05 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum for The Post and Courier Hall of Fame Night and Fan Appreciation Night.
