Florida's Olson Suspended, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that Florida defenseman Benn Olson has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #661 at Charlotte on March 23.

Olson was assessed a charging major and game misconduct at 0:13 of the third period and is suspended and fined under Rule #29 - Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Olson will miss Florida's games at Charlotte on March 25 and at Gwinnett on March 27.
