
Stingrays Sign Chase Watson

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Cail MacLean announced today that forward Chase Watson has signed with the team. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Watson, 28, joins the Stingrays after spending most of this season with the Trenton Devils and Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL scoring two goals and 12 assists for 14 points in 32 total games. Last season, the Media, PA native split time between the Reading Royals of the ECHL and Bloomington PrairieThunder of the IHL netting 15 points (2g, 13a) in 42 games. In addition to Reading, Trenton and Cincinnati, Watson has seen ECHL action with the Augusta Lynx, Johnstown Chiefs and Wheeling Nailers.
Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot, 195-pound forward spent four years at Providence College acquiring 19 goals and 58 assists for 77 points in 134 contests.
