Greenville, S.C. - Forward Caleb Herbert scored twice and four players registered two-point games to propel the South Carolina Stingrays (21-18-1-6) over the Greenville Road Warriors (25-19-1-2) 5-1 at the Bon Secours Welleness Arena Tuesday evening.

Hours after being named the Sher-Wood ECHL Player of the Week, Stingrays forward Derek DeBlois opened the scoring on the power play at 11:11 of the first period lifting a shot over the glove of Road Warriors netminder Jason Missiaen (L, 22 saves on 26 shots) from the top of the crease. Defenseman Frankie Simonelli and forward Braden Pimm added assists. Two minutes later, Herbert forced a turnover and capitalized on a breakaway to give the Stingrays a two-goal advantage.

Forward Andrew Ammon made it 3-0 2:30 into the second period working the right-wing boards with forward Tim Spencer and broke off to rip a show between the legs of Missiaen. Defenseman Wade Epp added the second assist.

In the third period, Pimm found the back of the net at 8:45 with help from Epp and DeBlois. Herbert buried his second goal of the game and team-leading 14th marker at 15:27 from team captain Andrew Rowe. Road Warriors forward John Nicholls closed the shutout bid for Stingrays netminder Adam Morrison (W, 30 saves on 31 shots) with 2:59 remaining in the contest.
