Allen Americans News Release

Ontario, California - The Allen Americans meet the Ontario Reign for the first time ever tonight. It's Allen's first game in the state of California in six seasons of pro hockey. Puck drop from the Citizens Business Bank Arena is 9:00 pm CST .

The Americans are 1-1-1 outside the ECHL Central Division this season, with three games played against the Eastern Conference in January.

Allen is playing the second half of a four-game road trip that saw them win two times last weekend in Brampton. The Americans still own the best record in the ECHL at 32-7-2-2.

Chad Costello is on a 17-game point streak, that ties Nino Musitelli for the all-time club record. Musitelli played in Allen for two full seasons, and part of a third.

Gary Steffes was nominated for ECHL Player of the Week this week, after scoring four points last week in two games, including his ECHL leading 30th and 31st goals of the season.

The Ontario Reign (27-13-3-4) are in second place in the Pacific Division, six points behind the first place Colorado Eagles. Ontario has two former Allen Americans players on their roster; Judd Blackwater, who is second on the team in scoring with 35 points, (17 goals and 18 assists), and Matt Register, who is fifth on the team in points with 28 (8 goals and 20 assists).

Watch tonight's game against the Reign at one of the following Away Game Watching locations; Game On in Allen/Fairview, The Franchise in Plano, or Jacks American Pub in McKinney. Listen for free online at www.allenamericans.com.
