TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (27-13-3-4) return home following a three-game road trip to take on the Allen Americans (37-7-2-2). This is the first time that both teams will face each other in regular season play; the Americans captured the previous two Central Hockey League championships prior to joining the ECHL this season, and the club currently leads the Central Division. The Americans are the lone opponent from the Central Division that Ontario will face in the regular season this year.

WHITE-HOT:

Following a stat correction, Matt White has seen his point streak extended to a season-high four games (2g-3a). The Whittier, Calif. native continues to climb the team scoring race, as he now sits third in scoring behind only Robert Czarnik and Judd Blackwater.

BEST OFFENSE VERSUS BEST DEFENSE:

The matchup between Ontario and Allen promises to have its share of excitement, as the Reign possesses the top-ranked defense (2.53 goals-against per game), while the Americans have averaged a league-leading 4.26 goals scored per game this season.

YOU AGAIN?:

Reign fans should recognize some familiar faces in the lineup for Allen. Chad Costello and Brett Lyon each spent time with Ontario during the 2013-14 campaign. Costello leads the ECHL in scoring with 71 points (22g-49a) in 43 games, while Lyon leads the league in penalty minutes with 240. Forward Ian Schultz also appeared in training camp with the Reign this season, while forward Spencer Asuchak, who dressed in three games with the Reign in 2011-12, has just returned from a stint with the team's AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks.

A few Reign players will also suit up against their former team, as Judd Blackwater and Matt Register played for the Americans when the club was a member of the Central Hockey League. Blackwater was a point-per-game player with Allen in 2010-11, while Register broke into the pro ranks with the Americans for a 22-game stint in 2011-12.
