South Carolina Stingrays News Release

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC The South Carolina Stingrays announced today that Taylor Lee has been named President of the team. Lee, a local resident and graduate of the College of Charleston, will assume his new position next week. He replaces Sean O'Connell, who left the team earlier this week to pursue interests outside of hockey.

Taylor Lee brings an extensive resume to the team's front office, which includes over ten years of business management, sales and marketing experience. He comes to the franchise, after spending his last four years with Merrill Lynch and Company in Charleston. Prior to his tenure with Merrill Lynch, he worked as a Senior Business Systems Consultant with American Management Systems in Fairfax, Virginia. Lee started his career in Charleston, in 1992 as a Facility Supervisor and Health Educator at MUSC's Harper Life Center.

Lee's familiarity with the Stingrays and with Low Country sports has been enhanced through his association with the Charleston Metro Sports Council, the Cooper River Bridge Run and the Southern Conference Basketball Tournament.

"We feel very fortunate to have a new President with Taylor's business background as well as his strong connections within the Charleston sports and business communities," noted the Stingrays Ownership Group.

Lee graduated from the College of Charleston in May of 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to earn a Masters degree in Business Administration from William and Mary in 1997.

"I look forward to accepting the challenge of this position and building upon the excellence that has already been established," commented Lee.

Lee, a 36 year old, resides in Mount Pleasant with his wife Anne and his daughters, four-year-old Hollyn and seven-month-old Anne-Hampton.
