Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays Celebrate Pack the House Night Tonight against Royals

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays battle the Reading Royals tonight at 7:05 on Pack the House Night at the North Charleston Coliseum. Today is the third and final regular-season meeting between the two teams this season.

Deputy Joseph Matuskovic Charity Hockey Game:

The Stingrays are proud to host the Deputy Joseph Matuskovic Charity Hockey Game between the Charleston Enforcers and North American Blue at the North Charleston Coliseum at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $10, including a Pack the House Night ticket, with $5 from every ticket going to the Deputy Matuskovic Charity Fund. The Charleston Enforcers are also holding a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia, local art, gift certificates, vacation packages and more. Tickets are only available through the Stingrays Office until noon at (843) 744-2248 ext. 1206.

Series Breakdown:

The Stingrays hold a 1-1-0-0 record against the Royals this season after splitting a two-game series in early December. The Stingrays defeated the Royals 4-2 on December 6 at Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania and the Royals bounced back with a 2-0 decision the following day. All-time, the Stingrays are 16-10-3.

Chasing History:

On Pack the House Night last season, the Stingrays set a new single-game attendance record of 10,617 in a 4-1 win over the Florida Everblades.

Snapping the Streak:

The Stingrays have points in 16 of their last 21 games (13-5-1-2), but enter tonight's contest looking to snap a five-game winless skid (0-3-0-2).

ECHL All-Stars Return:

Defenseman Garrett Haar and Athletic Trainer Rick Covard represented the Stingrays at the 2015 CCM ECHL All-Star Classic on Tuesday and Wednesday. Haar earned a plus-minus rating of +2 and had one shot on goal in the ECHL All-Stars' 8-4 win over the Orlando Solar Bears Wednesday night in Orlando, Florida. Box Score

Forward Andrew Rowe has five goals and two assists in his last seven games. Forward Wayne Simpson has three goals and eight assists in his last eight games.
