Late in the frame and with Jackals forward Colin Jacobs in the penalty box for high-sticking, forward Wayne Simpson put the Stingrays up 2-1 with a power-play tally at 16:51 from defenseman Brendan Ellis and forward Brett Gensler.

In the third period, forward Igor Gongalsky sealed the victory with an empty-net marker. Simpson picked up the lone assist.
