Aces Clinch Brabham Cup, Face Las Vegas In The First Round Of The Kelly Cup Playoffs

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces clinched their ECHL record fourth consecutive Brabham Cup title and fifth overall for top regular season league record with a 5-0 victory at Colorado and will face the Las Vegas Wranglers in the opening round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
The Western Conference Quarterfinal, a best-of-seven series, opens with Game 1 at Sullivan Arena on Friday, Apr. 18 at 7:15 p.m. and continues with Game 2 the next evening before the series shifts to Las Vegas.

The matchup will be the fifth all-time between the Aces and Las Vegas, who last met in the 2012 Western Conference Final. The Aces last eliminated Las Vegas in the 2009 Conference Finals in a four game sweep, holding a lifetime record of 10-10 head-to-head in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
This season, the Aces went 11-2-0 overall in the regular season series and won five of six games in the series at Sullivan Arena.
The Aces have won the Kelly Cup twice (2006, 2011) and advanced to the Kelly Cup Finals three times since entering the ECHL in 2003-04.
