ESTERO, FL - The Everblades look to keep their playoff hopes alive as they battle the top-seeded Reading Royals tonight at Germain Arena. Florida will be looking to sweep the three-game season set against the league's defending champions this evening

The "˜Blades trail eighth place Fort Wayne by two points for the final playoff spot, but the Komets hold the tiebreaker. `Reading has already locked up the top overall seed in the Eastern Conference.

Goaltender Andy Iles is expected to make his second consecutive start tonight against the Royals, after a 23-save performance en route to his second career win on Wednesday.

Tonight's Playoff Scenarios: The Fort Wayne Komets can clinch the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference if Fort Wayne wins tonight against Evansville, OR Florida loses in regulation. OR Fort Wayne loses in overtime/shootout AND Florida loses. Essentially the Everblades need to win tonight, and hope that Fort Wayne does not earn more than one point in the standings....The Alaska Aces can clinch the Brabham Cup with a win tonight.
