TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors begin the final weekend of the regular season with the 11th and final meeting of the campaign with the Stockton Thunder. After dropping the first three games of the season series, Bakersfield has responded nicely with a record of a 5-1-0-1 over the last seven contests.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Bakersfield began the month of April with a bang, notching four wins in four outings in their push for the fifth seed in the Western Conference. On Sunday, the Condors surrendered two third period goals in less than a minute to Las Vegas, which erased their two-goal lead. However, reigning ECHL Player of the Week F Chase Schaber potted his fifth and sixth goals on the week as the team held off the Wranglers, 4-2. G Chet Pickard earned the win, RW Greg Miller dished out three assists, five players had multiple point games.

Stockton comes to Condorstown off a loss on Wednesday night in Ontario against the Reign. With a 1-0 lead entering the final period of regulation, a high-scoring third period saw the Reign score five times in a 5-3 win. Former Condors LW Nicholas Tremblay scored in his second game back from injury, while F Adam Brace had two points (1g-1a).

WHAT'S AT STAKE

The Condors sit three points up on Stockton in the race for sixth in the Western Conference. Bakersfield can wrap up at least sixth tonight with any win or a shootout loss since the Condors would win the second tiebreak, goal differential, with Stockton. In order for the Condors to get the fifth seed, they would need four more points than Colorado on the weekend. The Eagles play twice at home against Alaska, while the Condors have three games-in-three nights.

CONDORS NOTES

G Laurent Brossoit earned two ECHL end of season honors this week. On Wednesday, he was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team and on Thursday, he was selected to the All-ECHL Second Team... RW Greg Miller is on a 6-game point streak with Bakersfield and has 9 points (4g-5a) during that time. The streak was paused with his recall to Oklahoma City... C Joel Broda had four assists in three games over the weekend, marking his return to the Condors lineup.
