Steve Gainey Re-Assigned From Dallas

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies National Hockey League affiliate, the Dallas Stars, announced today that they have re-assigned left wing Steve Gainey to the Grizzlies.

Gainey, 24, was re-called by the Stars on November 17th and has played in seven games with Dallas recording seven penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating. In 12 games with Utah this season, the Montreal native has scored three goals with two assists and nine penalty minutes.

The 6-1, 192-pound left wing was originally a third round selection (77th overall) of the Stars in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.

Utah hosts the Houston Aeros tonight at 7:05 PM at the 'E' Center and will play a pair of games this weekend with Cincinnati. Call 988-7825 (PUCK) for ticket information.
