Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Wednesday announced that the Detroit Red Wings have recalled right wing Blake Sloan and assigned center/left wing Nathan Robinson to the Griffins.

The 21-year-old Robinson made his NHL debut with Detroit last weekend after being called up on Thanksgiving. He collected two penalty minutes and two shots on goal in two games, averaging 6:10 of ice time. In 21 games as a Griffin, Robinson ranks third on the team with nine assists and 13 points (tied).

Sloan, 28, played seven games with the Griffins since signing as a free agent on Nov. 18, totaling six points (4-2-6) and a plus-four rating. A veteran of 262 games in the NHL, he notched the game-winning goals in each of Grand Rapids' last two victories (3-2 vs. CHI on Nov. 28, 2-0 at CIN on Nov. 30) before signing with the Red Wings on Monday.

Robinson will return to the Griffins' lineup this Friday when they host the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:30 p.m., while Sloan will be available to play for the Red Wings tonight at 7:30 when they take on the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim at Joe Louis Arena.
