BOISE, IDAHO - Joe Basaraba tipped a slap pass from Shawn Boutin into the Alaska net in the third period on the powerplay to give the Idaho Steelheads the lead on their way to a 5-3 win over the Aces Friday at the CenturyLink Arena.
Idaho drew first blood with a 2 on 1 break at the 8:26 mark of the first period. Jake Fallon took the puck up the left wing into the Aces zone and took Andrew Carrol wth him on the right. Fallon slid a pefect pass over to Carroll who blasted it in the net pat Aces goaltender Troy Redmann. It was Carroll's 9th goal of the season.
The Aces drew even with just under a minute to go in the period. Tony Deluca got his 7th goal of the season with a lazer wrister from the top of the left circle with Tommaso Traversa screening in front of Idaho netminder Branden Komm. Time of the goal 19:11.
