Wichita is 0-11-0-1 vs. Missouri

HEAD TO HEAD - This is the 13th meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Mavericks. All-time, Wichita is 35-33-4 against Missouri and 15-17-3 on the road in the series.

TODAY - Wichita continues its seven-game road swing with three games in three different cities beginning tonight against Missouri. The Thunder fell on Sunday afternoon to Allen by the final of 4-3 in a shootout while the Mavericks won their last outing, 3-0, over Rapid City. Tonight is the final meeting between the two teams at Silverstein Eye Center Arena. The final two contests pitting Wichita and Missouri in the Independence Cup Series will be on March 19th and 20th at INTRUST Bank Arena. Rocco Carzo leads the way for the Mavericks against the Thunder with 14 points (3g, 11a). Tyler Barnes is right behind him with 13 points (5g, 8a). Ian Lowe has four goals against the Mavericks, including two on January 30th.

HATS OFF - Kale Kerbashian netted his first pro hat trick on Saturday night against his former team. He is just the second Thunder player this season to find the net three times in a game, with Logan Nelson being the other. The Thunder Bay, Ontario native has been terrific since coming over from Rapid City, averaging a point a game (9g, 14a) in the 23 games in a Thunder uniform.

BETWEEN THE PIPES - With both David Shantz and Grant Rollheiser on the shelf, the Thunder added two new goaltenders last week. Sean Bonar dazzled in net on Friday night and had a solid performance on Sunday afternoon despite suffering the shootout loss. He saw 65 shots in 124 minutes, which is good for a goals-against average of 1.94 and a save percentage of .942.

EXTRA TIME - Wichita played another game past 60 minutes on Sunday afternoon. The Thunder appeared in four straight before the start of the weekend that went into overtime or a shootout. Sunday's shootout loss makes it five of the last seven games that the Thunder have gone into extra time and are in a tie for the league-lead with 17 games decided in OT or a shootout and 8-9-6-6 in one-goal games.

THREE'S A PLENTY - Tonight starts the second-straight weekend that the Thunder will play three games in three nights. On Saturday, Wichita will head to Quad City for another match-up against the Mallards. The Thunder will finish off the weekend with an afternoon meeting at Evansville on Sunday.

THUNDERBOLTS...Ian Lowe leads the team in shots (144)...Lowe and Andy Huff are tied for seventh in the ECHL in shorthanded goals (2)...Landon Oslanski has assists in four of his last five games and continues to lead defensemen with nine power play goals...Dan Milan leads the team with 105 penalty minutes...Wichita is third in the league in minor penalties (303)...Wichita is 8-1-1-1 when leading after two...

MISSOURI NOTES - CJ Ludwig was sent back to the Mavericks from Bridgeport of the AHL...Kellen Jones signed a PTO with the Utica Comets...Missouri acquired the rights to Darian Dziurzynski from Greenville for future considerations...Missouri is 25-3-0-0 at home...
