Idaho Stampede News Release

BOISE, Idaho, April 2, 2010 - Your Idaho Stampede today announced that its inaugural NBA D-League Green Week 2010 will tip off this Friday night when the Stampede take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders in a two-game series.

Thanks to the help of Western Recycling, the Stampede will promote a variety of greening events during their remaining home games in an effort to generate awareness for protecting the environment. Fans will be able to recycle all paper and plastic used at the game thanks to recycling bins provided by Western Recycling. There will also be prizes given away made of all recycled materials.

The Idaho Stampede and Western Recycling green initiative serves as a reminder for fans that each of us can help to reduce our environment footprint. Since 1979, Western Recycling has diverted over two billion pounds of material out of Idaho landfills.

Fans can purchase tickets to the last two remaining Stampede games for the 2009-10 season by calling the Stampede office at 388-4667. The Stampede take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders Friday and Saturday night in Boise. Tip-off for both games is at 7:00 pm.
