
St. Cloud Scores a Season-High 19 Runs in Win against Bismarck

Bismarck, ND - Landon Stephens (Miami-Ohio) and Garrett Delano (Brown) each drove in six runs as St. Cloud (27-18) defeated Bismarck (23-23) 19-8 in game one of the doubleheader. The Rox have won four games in a row.
The scoring began in the first inning as Jack Kelly (Northwestern) doubled to right field and scored two runs. In the next at-bat, Stephens blasted a two-run home run to left field.
In the fifth, sixth and seventh innings, the Rox scored a combined eleven runs. Kelly hit an RBI-triple in the fifth inning apart of two runs that scored. Delano drilled a three-run home run apart of a five run sixth inning. Barth, Delano, Kelly and Stephens each recorded an RBI in the four run seventh inning.
Stephens crushed his second home run of the day in the ninth inning, a two-run blast to left field. Delano also hit a two-run single.
Blake Flint (St. Cloud State) started the game and pitched three innings. Rhyse Dee (Wake Forest), Blake Stelzer (Concordia-St. Paul) and Hance Smith (California-Berkeley) all threw two innings. Smith earned the win.

The Rox play game two of the doubleheader at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark. They'll conclude the three-game road series on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
St. Cloud returns home on Thursday, July 18th against the Bismarck Larks at 7:05 p.m. It's Summertime St. Patty's Night presented by Grain Belt Premium.
