Madison Mallards News Release
MADISON, Wis. - Last night the Madison Mallards (31-15) picked up their 31 win of the season, after defeating the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (19-27) 6-5. Madison's offense rallied in the top of the ninth to grab a one-run lead, after losing the lead for the first time during the sixth inning. The two teams last met during the first half of the season in mid June for a two-game series. Each team picked up a victory for the split, making the record between the two teams, 3-3.
Overall, the Rafters sit in second place in the Great Lakes West division, two games behind the first place Mallards. Since the second half of the season began, both the Mallards and Rafters have earned a 6-4 record and are tied for second place. Both teams trail one game behind the first place Green Bay Booyah (22-24).
